AI Prompts for Content Creators and Bloggers

  • AI Prompts for Content Creators and Bloggers

    31 Jan 2024

When using AI tools such as Chat GPT, and Gemini, you will provide instructions using prompts.

You are going to tell the AI system what you want it to generate. So, you need to master prompts so you can get useful, interesting content.

You will need to check it thoroughly, but it is a great way to get ideas for content and get you going.

So, here are some prompts that will help you get more interesting, credible, and evergreen content.

You can use one, or a combination of these, to get the output you want.  The better the input, the better the output.

    1. Stats, Facts and Citations

Prompt: Please write a blog post about [insert topic here] and use statistics and facts throughout the article while citing your sources, using data from well known sources.

.And when you add in stats and data to your blog, it helps with credibility.

Including citations shows you have done your research - but do check on the citations to see if these are sources you would trust.

This prompt gives me ideas for social content, blog posts, and podcast episodes.

    2. Storytelling

You could expand the above by prompting your AI tool to incorporate a storytelling format for the introduction.

Prompt: Please write a blog post about [insert topic here] and use statistics and facts throughout the article while citing your sources, using data from well known sources. Use a storytelling format for the introduction and summary.

By having ChatGPT/Gemini add storytelling to your introductory paragraphs, you will engage the audience quicker.

You could try just asking for a storytelling format for the whole article to keep the reader more engaged. However, this may make the article lack conciseness - so test and review.

    3. Trending

Prompt: What are trending topics around the subject of [insert topic] for 2024?

This prompt is a great way to get ideas for new content for social media, your blog, videos or your podcast.

    4. Most Popular

Prompt: What are the most popular videos, podcasts, and blogs (try each format separately) around the subject of [insert topic]? Include urls of the videos.

This will give you an idea of what videos and podcasts and blogs you need to create for your YouTube Channel, or to reference in a blog article.

Don't just use AI to help write your content, use it for the initial research.

    5. Unusual

With thousands of blogs, posts, videos and podcasts being created every day, you need to create content that is a bit more unusual. Your AI tool can help you identify more unusual topics.

Prompt: Please share recently published, interesting statistics about [insert the topic here] that very few people are talking about. Please cite your sources.

It’s a great way to find evergreen topics to blog on that keep producing organic search traffic.

    6. Influencers / Opinion Leaders / Competitors

Influencers and opinion leaders are a good source of content. Competitors can be too.

Prompt: What topic does [insert name of influencer/opinion leader/competitor URL/author] discuss the most frequently?

This is one of the easiest ways to figure out what your competitors talk about.

    7. Likes and Shares

Prompt: What are the most popular social posts in 2023–2024 about [insert the topic] based on likes and shares?

A great prompt to find out what kind of social content people find most engaging,

    8. Numbers

Don't get swamped by the response from your AI tool - tell it how many you want.

Promt: What are the ten most popular social media posts (videos or podcasts)  by [competitor, influencer, etc] in the past two years.
